War, violent conflict, terrorism and violent extremism have differential and devastating consequences for women and girls. Yet, despite this, women remain largely excluded from peace processes and negotiations and most peace agreements lack provisions on the priorities of women and girls and fail to reflect women’s unique perspectives on their lives and communities. Empowering women and girls is critical to building fair, inclusive, prosperous and peaceful societies everywhere.

I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.

I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.
