Gender equality not only provides children with equal opportunities to education, health, protection, but also the freedom of choice. With growing pushback on gender equality, it is even more critical that we all take bolder actions to break down structural barriers and address collective norms and mindsets. Investment must start from the early years.

I support the IGC Panel Parity Pledge.

I support the IGC gender-based violence pledge.

Personal Commitments

I will actively champion implementing the UNICEF gender policy 2021-2030. In particular, I will strive to create opportunities for girls’ voices, power and agency.
I will support leaders in the region to articulate UNICEF’s commitments to promoting gender equality across programmes, workplaces and practices.
