I commit to strengthening partnerships with women’s organizations, grassroots groups and gender advocates to ensure their meaningful participation in BRS processes and projects, particularly in relation to waste management, plastics and chemicals of concern. I will prioritise at least two concrete collaborations that advance women’s economic opportunities and health in the chemicals and waste sector.

I commit to continuing to promote the integration of gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls across the work of the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm Conventions. I will encourage the systematic consideration of gender perspectives in programmes of work, budget discussions and resource mobilisation efforts, in line with the BRS Gender Action Plan (2025–2035).
