Justice and accountability for sexual and gender-based atrocity crimes is a core objective of Justice Rapid Response, which has helped to raise global standards of investigation. Victims of gender crimes need to be heard, protected and empowered.

Personal Commitments

Further improve gender balance in Justice Rapid Response’s work in 2024, by achieving a minimum of 50% of deployments by women experts at year end.
Ensure that in 2024, at least 80% of our deployments will include the investigation of Sexual and Gender-based Violence in conflict or the integration of gender considerations in the documentation of international crimes and serious human rights violations.
