Giving our utmost support to women is not an option, it is our duty. No nation could aspire to be peaceful without equal and proactive participation of women.

In Bangladesh, as a nation, we take pride in the level of women empowerment that has been achieved thus far. But we are equally aware of acute responsibilities to ensure equal treatment of women as we build our nation. We are aware that achieving gender equality, women empowerment is integral to each of the seventeen sustainable development goals.

I, therefore, would like to assure my personal commitment towards the achievement of sustainable development goals and thereby ensuring the rights of women and girls across all the goals for an equal and inclusive society to live in.
