I firmly believe that there is huge potential that could be unlocked simply by valuing and empowering women. The energy, the power and creativity of women is badly needed — not only to make this world a better place, but to enable it to survive in the years to come. It is only by engaging the abilities of both women and men working together in partnership that the right steps can be taken towards building a sustainable world. This means the voices of both men and women must be heard at all levels of decision-making.
Continuously foster flexibility in working hours in the workplace and part-time models for leadership positions to support shared parental responsibility. In 2019 this has been confirmed by receiving the Family friendly workplace certificate and we will also assess through EDGE on how we perform against various equality dimensions.
Encourage a mind-set of inclusion and gender equality throughout the company, boards, associations and social media channels I take part in. I help eliminating prejudice by supporting companies and organisations to change their mind-set: men and women think, feel and behave differently. I am advocating that organisations should embrace these differences for their own benefit. This by sharing knowledge and best practices around balanced gender representation in management teams, equal pay and parental leave for both parents.
