As EU Special Representative for Human Rights and in all other capacities, I have been committed to promoting gender equality in the EU itself and around the world. I am now proud to carry this commitment into my work at the UN as well.

Personal Commitments
I will actively champion the implementation of the EU’s gender action plan throughout my work at the UN, to contribute to accelerate progress towards meeting the collective commitments we have made here at the UN for a world in which everyone can thrive.
I will ensure that our workplace at the EU delegation in New York serves as a model in terms of equality between women and men, where everyone can contribute and utilize their full potential, free from any form of discrimination, harassment, or negative gender stereotyping.
