in Geneva
The 17th Meeting of States Parties (17MSP) to the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention and the period ahead of the 2019 Review Conference afford States Parties an opportunity to identify concrete cases in which the different needs of women and men, boys and girls can effectively inform mine action, from mine clearance to victim assistance, risk education and reintegration.
In preparation, the International Gender Champions Disarmament Impact Group is convening a side event to present a tailored factsheet on gender in the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention, to support Member States in integrating gender perspectives in their work at the 17MSP and beyond.
We welcome Member States and disarmament stakeholders to a Side Event on Gender in the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention on Tuesday 27 November 2018 from 08:30 to 09:30 in Room XXVI at the Palais des Nations. The meeting will be held in cooperation with the Gender & Mine Action programme (GMAP) and the Government of Norway as President of the 2019 Review Conference.
