The IGC Women, Peace and Security Impact Group invites you to a Briefing of the Global Compact on Women, Peace and Security and Humanitarian Action (WPS-HA) in partnership with UN Women and the Permanent Mission of Spain to the United Nations Office and other International Organisations in Geneva, on Tuesday 14 May from 12:30 to 14:00 CET.
This 1h30 briefing will discuss the WPS-HA Compact, and priority areas for the Summit of the Future and the 25th anniversary of UN SC Resolution 1325. The WPS-HA Compact is a cross-sector initiative designed to implement existing normative commitments on WPS-HA with expanded investments, strengthened coordination across existing mechanisms, and financing for and visibility of the WPS-HA agenda.
We will offer this event in a hybrid format. If you are available to attend in-person, please join us on the seventh floor of the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP), where a light lunch will be served. Please note that in-person attendance is limited to 40 participants and that spots will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
