Girls and young women around the world are ready to be heard, but to fulfill their rights and realise the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, it is critical that we work together to create the spaces for their full participation. To celebrate the International Day of the Girl on 11 October, this roundtable will highlight the state of girls’ rights and the gender data gap in the context of the 2030 Agenda, providing a platform for both human rights experts and young women to explore the challenges girls face and propose solutions to ensure that all girls can learn, lead, decide and thrive. Plan International will also be presenting its latest report ‘Counting the Invisible’, which focuses on the gender data gap.
