Join the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for a special webinar in support of the "16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence" campaign. The event, organised by the UNOV/UNODC Gender Team and the UNODC Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Section, will take place on Monday, 2 December 2024, from 13:30 to 15:00 (CET) on MS Teams.
The webinar will feature expert panellists to bring together diverse perspectives to address femicide prevention. The panel discussion will address the latest trends in gender-related killings and insights on promising practices and approaches aimed at eliminating gender-based violence, to contribute to broader advocacy and stakeholder engagement to prevent femicides.
The panel will be composed of:

- Patsilí Toledo, UNODC GBV Consultant and CEDAW Member 2025-2028
- Birgitt Haller, Institute of Conflict Research (Institut für Konfliktforschung - IKF)
- Alicja Świtoń, Director, Association of Austrian Autonomous Women’s Shelters
- The webinar will be moderated jointly by Helin Herlbauer, Gender Specialist, UNOV/UNODC Gender Team and Sven Pfeiffer, Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Officer, UNODC Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Section.
