Geneva Peace Week 2020 aims to transform international cooperation, galvanise leadership, and build trust. In this spirit, attendees have the opportunity to engage in workshops and panel discussions presented by a variety of organisations such as the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance, UNICEF, and Alliance for Peacebuilding.
There are a number of potential gender-related events to attend as well as recorded interviews and digital products on topics ranging from cyberethics to community trust-building, to the role of young people in peacebuilding. The week also sees a selection of events focusing on gender including:
- Tuesday, 3 November 18:30 - 19:45 ‘Women's Storytelling Workshop: Enhancing Leadership and Communication on the Frontlines of Peace and Security’
- Wednesday, 4 November 09:00 - 09:50 ‘Peace is in our hands’ – Women take the lead to rebuild trust’
- Thursday, 5 November 15:00 – 15:50 'Women Peacebuilders: Leaders in Achieving Lasting Peace'.
