tackling invisible gender bias
The 2016 theme for International Women’s Day is “Planet 50-50 by 2030: Step It Up for Gender Equality”. Geneva Gender Champions have pledged to break down gender barriers by taking concrete actions to foster parity and organizational change.
How are these leaders overcoming their own unconscious bias to inspire others? Which tools are available to disrupt those micro behaviours that lead to gender inequalities in the workplace? Following a dialogue with Gender Champions, Tanya M. Odom will lead the participants through an interactive session taking stock of the recent advancements in neuroscience and organizational psychology, to increase awareness and take actions to tackle unconscious gender bias.
Tanya Odom Ed.M. is Harvard graduate global consultant, professor, author and executive coach. She has created and conducted hundreds of workshops on inclusive leadership, race/racism and gender equality for the UN, corporate, NGOs, law enforcement and education entities around the world.
