The IGC Secretariat cordially invites you to the Lunch & Learn: Intersectional Feminism: Dismantling Systems of Oppression on Tuesday 25 April from 12:00 to 13:00 Geneva time. This event will take place in a hybrid format. If you are available to attend in-person, the event will be held on the fifth floor of the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP) located at the Maison de la Paix.
During this first Lunch & Learn, speakers will explore intersectional feminist perspectives. They will widen the focus on gender equality by applying a social justice lens and a relational understanding of power structures to reflect on and challenge the root causes of social inequalities. The event will focus on promoting dialogue and understanding of how different forms of oppression intersect to shape the experiences of marginalized groups, including women from the Global South and indigenous peoples.
This event is part of the IGC’s ‘Lunch and Learn’ series which aims to facilitate encounters between the IGC community and leading experts, academics and activists. These events will take place throughout 2023 and will be open to IGC focal points, Champions as well as a wider community of students, researchers and policy makers.
Kindly RSVP by Tuesday 18 April via the following Zoom link.
