On Wednesday, 6 March, to mark International Women’s Day 2019, Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Management Mary Alice Hayward will host an event entitled “Inspiring Stories of Women in the Nuclear Field”. The event will take place on the C4 level, outside of Boardroom C from 13:15 – 14:30.

 

This dynamic event will inspire us in our individual and collective efforts for gender equality. The event will feature three short talks by accomplished women in the nuclear field, each with a unique story to tell:

 

  • Ms Rumina Velshi, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC)
  • Ms Marina Belyaeva, Deputy Director of International Activities and Director of International Cooperation Department of ROSATOM State Atomic Energy Corporation of Russia
  • Ms Amelia Lee Zhi Yi, Mentoring Coordinator for UN Nuclear Young Generation and Consultant at IAEA Soil and Water Management and Crop Nutrition Laboratory

 

The talks will be followed by an interactive question and answer session with the speakers.
