The United Nations Leadership Support Section in the Departments of Political and Peacebuilding Affairs and Peace Operations is pleased to invite you to a briefing on the “Secretary-General’s 2024 Global Call for nominations for the pool of Special Representatives of the Secretary-General (SRSGs), Deputy Special Representatives of the Secretary-General (DSRSGs), and Special Envoys in United Nations Peacekeeping Operations and Special Political Missions”. The Global Call is now open, and aims to advance gender parity and geographical diversity at the senior leadership level in United Nations Field Missions. Member States, regional, international and non-governmental organizations, as well as individuals, are encouraged to submit nominations/applications until 15 August. Nominations/applications of women and candidates from underrepresented regions, as well as French and Arabic-speakers are strongly encouraged.
