The New Year’s Champions Breakfast of the International Gender Champions (IGC) The Hague Hub will take place on Friday, 30 January at the Swiss Residence.
The breakfast will provide an excellent opportunity to bring together existing and prospective International Gender Champions in The Hague to reflect collectively on developments over the past year and to look ahead to the priorities and commitments of the IGC network for the year to come.
This year’s edition will focus on a justice-centred theme of particular relevance to The Hague, examining the impact of sanctions and related measures on women practitioners in international criminal law. The discussion will be framed by a panel comprising Deputy Prosecutor Nazhat Shameem Khan and Judge Beti Hohler of the International Criminal Court. A representative of civil society might also join the panel.
