Gender and Security Toolkit
In February 2020, DCAF - the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance, OSCE/ODIHR and UN Women will jointly publish a ground-breaking “Gender and Security Toolkit.” The Gender and Security Toolkit provides practice-based policy and programmatic guidance for governments, international and regional organisations, and security and justice institutions to advance gender equality in the security and justice sectors.
The Tools’ guiding approaches include: challenging gender bias within institutions; intersectional approaches to gender equality, including as regards sexual orientation and gender identity; transformational gender training; working with security sector oversight bodies; and innovative approaches to addressing gender-based violence, including against men and boys.
