Hosted by the Dominican Republic, in partnership with UNODC, the Vienna-based Friends of Gender Group, and the International Gender Champions Initiative.

The event will feature:

  • High-level opening session with the participation of Ms. Ghada Waly, Director-General of the UN Office at Vienna and Executive Director of UNODC
  • Regional discussion on women in political and legal positions addressing gender-related criminal justice challenges, such as corruption, human trafficking, sexual violence, and terrorism
  • Followed by a reception hosted by the Permanent Mission of the Dominican Republic
