Avenue Eugène Rigot 2E

That the digital revolution might generate a revival of precarious homework in the 21st century was not foreseen…Behind the algorithms, machine learning and AI of the future rests a cadre of hidden human workers completing the micro tasks that only a human can judge. Global, non-standard, unregulated forms of homeworking are the hidden labour behind the digital revolution; and no surprise to find that – like most other areas of the tech sector – it is highly gendered: Gender pay gaps; feminized tasking, bias and precariousness are still existing.
