Background: The Buenos Aires Declaration on Trade and Women’s Economic Empowerment was launched at the WTO’s 11th Ministerial Conference. Now there are 121 signatories. Building on the momentum achieved by this important accomplishment, the workshop will be yet another opportunity to seek ways to translate the Declaration into meaningful action. More details on trade and gender can be found on the WTO website:www.wto.org/womenandtrade .
