The OSCE has supported the development and strengthening of women’s leadership ranging from working with young women alumni of the OSCE Scholarship for Peace and Security to building capacity of networks of women in policing in Southeast Europe and Central Asia and supporting women entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. International Women’s Day provides a good occasion to examine how women’s leadership strengthens peacebuilding and conflict prevention, to exchange good practice and explore new and innovative ways how the OSCE can promote women’s leadership.
