A interactive panel discussion co-organized by UN Women, the Permanent Mission of Norway and the Norwegian Envoy for Women, Peace and Security.

The event will feature interventions by:

  • International Gender Champion H.E Mr. Hans Brattskar, Permanent Representative of Norway
  • H.E Ms. Marita Sørheim-Rensvik, Norway’s special Envoy for Women Peace and Security
  • Ms. Rim Turkmani, member of the Syrian Women’s Advisory Board
  • Ms. Katia Papagianni, Director of Policy and Mediation Support at the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue

The keynote speakers will explore the challenges of nexus thinking and how women’s leadership can be leveraged across the peace-development-humanitarian nexus. The discussion will also focus on the Norwegian National Action Plan for Women Peace and Security and how the international community can better support women’s leadership.
