Women for Afghanistan, in partnership with the City of Geneva and the Permanent Mission of Ireland to the United Nations in Geneva, is pleased to invite you to an important event bringing together voices committed to peace, justice, and accountability for Afghanistan. The event will bring together activists, survivors, Afghan women, civil society leaders, and members of the diplomatic community. The event will mark the launch of the "Guiding Framework for Afghanistan Accountability", a living document that reviews existing accountability mechanisms and processes relevant to Afghanistan, while recognizing and strengthening the role of civil society organizations (CSOs) and activists across different phases. Through the screening of a fragment of the documentary The Sharp Edge of Peace, the event will also highlight the roles of four women during the Doha peace talks, followed by a panel discussion on the aspirations and leadership of Afghan women in peacebuilding and accountability efforts.
