IAEA Director General Grossi has been an advocate for gender equality and the empowerment of women for many years. As a committed member of the International Gender Champions network, he launched the Marie Skłodowska‐Curie Fellowship Programme and adopted Special Measures for the Achievement of Gender Parity in the Professional and higher categories at the IAEA by 2025. Both are part of DG Grossi’s vision to establish the IAEA as a leading global voice for gender equality in nuclear and highlight the important contribution women make to peace and development through their technical expertise and leadership in the nuclear field.
In this event, DG Grossi will have an open discussion with panellists about the importance of equal representation of women in the nuclear sector and about challenging the status quo to build a better future for all. The virtual audience is encouraged to send in questions to interact directly with panellists.
