IGC High-Level Luncheon – Digital and New Emerging Technologies Impact Group: Advancing Equity in the Digital Era

On Thursday 5 December, the IGC Impact Group on Digital and New Emerging Technologies and other Geneva-based Champions convened to map out potential opportunities for embedding gender equality into digital policies and multilateral processes in 2025. The luncheon was organised in partnership with the Permanent Mission of the Federal Republic of Germany to the UN and other International Organisations in Geneva.

Following the meeting, the Impact Group – co-chaired by Doreen Bogdan-Martin, Secretary-General of the International Telecommunication Union; Ambassador Simon Manley, Permanent Representative of the United Kingdom to the UN and other International Organisations in Geneva; and Caitlin Kraft-Buchman, CEO of Women at the Table –  synthesised the inputs received into an outcome document which will serve as the group’s Action Plan for 2025.
