The Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) relies on innovation to enhance the capabilities of the Treaty’s verification regime as well as to help move the Treaty closer to universalization and entry into force. This year the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty celebrates its 25th anniversary and various Vienna-based International Gender Champions came together to support the importance of CTBTO's vital work in advancing the Treaty's verification regime.
The International Gender Champions, H.E. Ambassador Alejandro Solano Ortiz and Director Elena Sokova of the Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation, together with the members of the CTBT Youth Group also participated in a session "IGC-Youth: collaboration for sustainable outcomes" where they discussed current struggles and aimed to find the possible synergies to overcome those obstacles.
